It is getting dark earlier in the evening and staying dark later in the morning which can often make it difficult for drivers to see riders waiting for a bus. Don’t let your bus driver pass you by! Make sure your driver can see you at your stop and let your driver know you want to ride the bus. Here are some tips:
- Stand or sit at the bus stop, not down the road.
- Don’t sit or stand behind anything that could obstruct your driver from seeing you.
- When the bus approaches, stand up if you are sitting to indicate that you intend to ride.
- Wave to your driver and/or use the flashlight function on your mobile device to help them see you.
