Welcome back to public transit with free rides in August and September, all services are free on Modesto Area Express (MAX) and Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT), including Dial-A-Ride!
Public transportation is safe and here for you:
- MAX & StaRT buses are sanitized nightly with hospital-grade disinfectant.
- For your safety, masks remain required while riding.
- MAX and StaRT have merged to form the new Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA)!

- Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month.
- The meetings are virtual, so attendance is easy.
