Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) is introducing new fares for 2022 and you have to see them to believe it! The simplified structure consolidates 40 different fares from Modesto Area Express (MAX), Modesto Area Dial A Ride (MADAR), and Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT). Highlights of the new fare structure include permanent free fare for riders aged 0 to 18 and replacement of the fixed-route single-ride fare with a 1-Day Pass with unlimited rides for $2.00.
StanRTA has provided free fares to riders since July of 2021. The new fare structure will go into effect on January 2, 2022.
